The dead past

There is nothing deader than the past. What you have done or who you were before, is unimportant. Usually, the past just leaves you with a shaky argument with which you maybe able to justify your arrogance with (you know who I am? Know what I have seen and done in my life?). At best, if you were bit luckier and were blessed (or cursed) with a good memory, the past leaves you with the bitter taste of a lot of old mistakes, called "experience". But it really don't matter. Who you were, and what you've done, is of little importance to me.

Who you are now and what you can do today is what matters.

What you have done and what you have lived makes you what you are, forgeting that makes you forget who you are.

Deader? does such a word exist? even if it does then it should be deader THAN (not that), χα χα όχι τίποτα άλλο , για να μην αμφιβάλεις για τις γνώσεις μου είς την αγγλική.
Αλλά πέρα από την πλάκα, θα συμφωνήσω με τον προλαλήσαντα (κάτι λάθος ορθογραφικό έχω σίγουρα). Our past is what has shapen us, us human beings, If we were to be born today, probably, we would be totally diferrent people, we learn from our mistakes and from our experience, well most of us do.....

As human beings (instead of us).
Even perfect people as myself make mistakes in spelling, once in while :)

Και φυσικά θα έπρεπε να είναι deader THAN... Minor oversight... but you both miss my point... το θέμα είναι ότι το ΠΩΣ έφτασες να είσαι αυτό που είσαι είναι πια άσχετο σε μένα. Το ποιος ΤΩΡΑ είσαι είναι το μόνο που με ενδιαφέρει...

Zaf, you are absolutely right, but you can not, and I insist you can NOT, trully understand a person, and how he/she is today, if you do not know anything about his past. Me without my past would not be me.

Eventhough I have to add, sometimes, I really wish that..........not to be me, or to be born today.
